Thermo Electric Cooler Review

Thermo Electric Cooler review Coleman Power Chill Cooler

Thermo Electric cooler, this Coleman power chill Cooler gets three point five star Amazon rating and other 12 v fridges it gets mixed reviews mostly good but some folks had no ends to problems with them.  I think the people who wanted to figure out the fixes and accepted their limitations  in most cases had good luck with with the Thermo electric cooler. I always wonder what people think when they buy the product and what the sellers think would they not all benefit from a little reading on proper care of this kind of product.

  • First thing they do not last very long in most cases I am not sure how long would be a reasonable time frame to suggest.
  • Some people say they save up to a hundred dollars a day using these little Thermo electric cooler because they do not have to eat in restaurants when traveling.
  • Make sure the converter and 12 volt adapter are up off the floor.
  • Do not use  ice inside use the dry freezer packs if needed.
  • Keep the condensation wiped out of the unit
  • Check and be very careful with the power cord it is subject to shorting out when not firmly plugged in.
  • Motor is quite inexpensive and easy to replace

I am not sure how to advise people  on all the benefits of this little cooler overall I find the truth is the best and I would advise you to read up on these products before you make a purchase. More Coleman Thermo Electric reviews

This is an excerpt from a review I found:

After reading the reviews I hesitated. I shopped around and found amazons price to be the best. We have now had the Power Chill for two months. I purchased it with the Kooltron power converter.. rather than the Coleman. the Coleman converter was a lot more money.
We have used it now for a total of 25 days. That is during three trips to the lake. It is plugged into the AC outlet in my Cobalt/evolution popup camper. It has worked great. Two things to consider first make sure the converter and 12 volt adapter are up off the floor. The first time we used it water condensation dripped out of the cooler and caused the small fuse in the 12 volt adapter to trip. A quick trip to O’Reilly auto parts and for two bucks we were off and running again. The other thing you will need to watch out for is freeze up. Sometimes (usually at night) the AC in my RV will cause the temp to be too cold….. and i am just to lazy to get up and change it….. Soooo the thermoelectric cooler will freeze up. Not a big problem. You just pop open the cooler and give it 15 minutes to thaw out. Remember though that it only happens when I have the AC in the RV turned down.
So the facts are these. The cooler works great. We plug it in at home a few hours before we leave. We stock it full of perishables and then I just plug it into the cig adapter in the car. ”
